To visitors of Monte da Ravasqueira, our activities include strolling through the vineyards, watch the winemaking step by step, having lunch, or simply tasting the house’s wines.
When you see it for the first time, Monte da Ravasqueira looks like a small village in shades of white and blue surrounded by the green of the vineyards. This is a farm in full production so don’t be surprised if you come across a truck or any other farming machines.
We’ve been here since the 1960s, but the wine industry is a recent experience for us that turned into a passion. It’s that passion we want to share with our guests. In addition to our wine tastings, we invite our visitors to see the bottling centre and, for those who can stay longer, to visit the whole of the property.
And, no matter how long you stay, somethings are unmissable at Monte da Ravasqueira: our delicious wine jam and a visit to the horse cart museum. We have carts of different ages and origins, all of them in excellent conditions, that we showcase between the old horse ring and an old storage building. All of them deserve a closer look.
The massive fireplace of the former Casa da Malta is another must-see attraction at Monte da Ravasqueira. In the old days, it’s where the staff had their lunch break and today is one of our dining rooms. The lamb and other dishes made by our in-house cooks are one of our calling cards and an excellent reason to visit us.
